  1. There's a surf tournament in north wildwood sept. 7-9. i'm not sure what the entry fee is. i will be there, so the fish wont. nevermind.
  2. pier 47 is probably your best bet. there's a rental place and b&t/crabshack on pacific just before the bridge to cape may, but i think they only have small boats. pier 47 is really close to urie's anyway.
  3. Wow, these lists are great!! thank you guys, i appreciate the hlep.
  4. I just buy 6"-12" wire leader with the swivel and snap, then tie to main line. Put a hook or lure to the snap, but not sure if tying your own wire would be better for the hook.
  5. I use a 7' whuppin stick salt medium heavy.
  6. Fireline here too, 20 lb. will try sufix next.
  7. Another newb here, hi everyone. I'm a freshwater guy and started fishing the beach last year at my vacation spot in wildwood crest. I havent caught anything too exciting yet, but dying to hook into a nice striper or blue. From clifton, nj originally and moved to PA for a nice house a few years ago. but looking to move the aberdeen/matawan area next year or so. The info here is great and getting me started, have to put my time in now. thanks for the help so far. here's a joke: Two Ways to Look at Everything..... My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table. My wife asks, "Do you know her?" "Yes," I sighed, "She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since." "My God!" says my wife, "Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"
