  1. i herd seaworms dont work to well in the canal i havent tried eels usaly chunk mack or herring or squid i havent realy had much luck in the canal i have fished it a few times just looking for tips so i can catch a few.
  2. well i fished the canal yesterday lots of people fishing (i bet lots of you who post here too) i saw a few big stripers taken from what i was told as soon as they oppend the runn they where bangin lots of stripers. it was slow for me though. i fished plugs (castmaster, cripled herring, pooper) and i fished baits chunked macks, and i fished dead herring jigging them i tell you the way i was working them i swore a big one was ganna just kill it but supriseingly nothing. my buddy was doin the same but leaveing the whole herring out with a weight there no movment at all he went to take a piss came back to half a herring i am guessing a blue picked it up because it was ripped right in half. that was the only action the whole day for us. i have tried herring,plugs,macs.. what about eels i was thinking of goin up to the canal with a few eels and giving it a shot..... let me get some feedback....
