A good all around rod is a Lamiglas GSB 1201M if you can find one. Once in a while they show up in the Buy Sell forum.

Lou T - I don't know what type of guides, but Causeway B & T is probably the premier tackle shop on Long Island. I would expect that the guides are top quality. With the effort and detail that was put into the wraps, the guides are of the same quality. RP - I don't have definite plans to head up that way, but there is a chance that I might be visiting family up in Lake Sunapee area sometime in September or October. If I do and if I still have the rod and reel i will let you know.

Rod is built on a Lamiglas GSB - 136-1M. I did some research on the blank and found this info: rated for 6-16oz and weighs 10.5 oz

I don't have specs. I got it a couple of years ago, but I never put it to use. Got it from a guy here on Long Island, Wantagh/Merrick/Bellmore area who told me that it was built by someone at Causeway Bait and Tackle in Wantagh, Long Island.

Sorry Henry. I got caught up in the Ranger game last night and didn't post the pictures. Here they are. The reel is actually a beauty and is in perfect working order. Considering that the aluminum spools are selling for $50 and the newell bars are selling for $35, I think that $100 for this reel is a very fair price. I am firm at that price. The reel will last you a long time and hopefully help you catch many fish.

I do have a nice one in great condition. It has Newell cross bars and a stock Penn aluminum spool. I'll post some pictures in a little while.

I may have one. I will check this evening after work and let you know. If I do have the one that I am thinking of it may have newell bars and spool. If that's the case, would you still be interested?
