LMAO...nice! :-) PS. I need a new plug rod, mine is very stiff. I'm using 1208 or 1209? (have both) rainshadow...looking to upgrade to Lami 1-piece. Think I saw a Lami post so will check it out, but was curious if anyone was using one of the Arra models? Thanks in advance.

C&R, so it's still out there.

Yeah, I know, sorry Bob. Thought of that right after I sent it...was hoping Administrator might catch it and delete the 2nd pic. @albacized Caught on top. @Intrepid95Still consider myself an amateur based on how others are able to get fish every fish, any day of the week. Dave

First, apologize if this topic has already been discussed. My brand new BPS grip pliers snapped (already); cheap yellow ones. Just bought a pair of TFG on ebay. Anyone use them? Wanted ones that won't rust or corrode. Input welcome. Thanks!

Thank you all. Consider myself fortunate as I've had the same liter on there for some time now and was using my lighter rod, which I had snapped the tip off of a few seasons ago. So, shorter rod, less backbone, and older liter - yikes, disaster waiting to happen. Figured if I lost it, would be my fault for not maintaining my tackle! But all the gear held up so was pleased.

5' 7" give or take.

Yeah, the gut hooking was bothering me as I didn't want to harm any of the fish. Time to re-crush the barbs I guess!

Unofficially, 36# on the boca - 46". Ended up giving it away to a guy who just lost a big one along with all his terminal tackle. Wanted to let her go. :-( All other fish released clean and healthy; they were very aggressive today. Have never foul or gut-hooked so many on top before...?

Nice, thanks Tim!

Had been skunked all summer; haven't gone a ton. Safe to say the skunk is gone. Took several large fish today. Wanted to share as I rarely have an opportunity to do so. ;-) Tight lines. Dave -formerly 'Canal Rookie'

Maybe take a test before allowed to fish the canal, like a driving permit?! Bake it into the $10 annual recreational saltwater license fee, having to re-test every 5yrs? Sure, logistics to work out but actually give knuckleheads a chance to learn proper canal etiquette. Just saying. PS. Have never gutted a fish along service road and never "squeeze myself"in among others. If I'm anywhere close, I always wait my turn based on tide direction. Dave

Totally agree, everyone has their preference based on what's worked for them. I started out bait fishing; became too much maintenance so switched to lures. Couldn't be happier but I know people who catch big fish on eels and chunks!

I fish the CC canal and use artificial only (jigging). Nothing like jigging the bottom of fast running, deep water. Just got this Wed am among t-storms/lightning. Dave
