@Terry Mac the divider looks very similar to DNG Dividers for plug bags

I just got an Abu Revo SX, great reel, Shimano is nice, never been a fan of Daiwa, but that's personal preference. The biggest thing to look at with the low profile baitcasters is the gear ratio and what type of lures. If it's one rod all around reel, I'd get about a 6.8. Lew's is really popular, also owned by Pure Fishing so very similar to Abu's and their Speed Spool reels are pretty nice.

@Old Hunter. I ended up having to go to Goldsboro yesterday as luck would have it. Great shop and of course I couldn't leave empty handed so end up with a few new things to try out.

Thanks all for the input! I have an old Okuma that is similar in weight to the 6500 and seemed really heavy and off balanced. I ended up ordering the 4500 since I have a couple big rods for chunking heavier weight for drum. Figure 20lb braid, 40-50lb mono leader, and good to go for Wrightsville, Neuse, OBX, and the occasional Chesapeake area sending lures and lighter rigs.

I know you mentioned Penns, a lot of folks I've seen are using 6500 and 7000 abu's. I've had both and the 6500 on a 11' was perfect for shore and piers around the bay.

I've got a Star Paraflex Surf 10'6" (3/4-4) looking at the 6500 bailess Spinfisher. No one locally has anything bigger than a 4000, I'm wondering if the 6500 would be too heavy since the rod is so light? i'll be surf fishing plugs around NC looking for striper, blues, etc.
