  1. I use the 10lb and 20lb for scup, blk sea bass and have had no issues use mono for blues/bass. Just trust it more.
  2. I use the velcro rod raps on my belt (same idea), the blue ones by Shimano.
  3. Tell the parents to see if the Hope Lodge has room (if they will be staying up there). Dana is number one, I know from my four years they have been following me. If they need any local info either you Don or they can contact me. Please let me/us know if ther is anything that I/we can do. Bruce
  4. Rappala "sliver" is a jointed thin lure that could do well as an eel or sand eel. They are very light though. Wish they made it in plastic instead of wood as a saltwater model.
  5. I'm going to have to pass on this right now, sorry I won't be able to get it.
  6. Send me one (if you can) and I can send you one. Let me know.
  7. This is to comply with the no felt souls rule/law? Wouldn't all the felt would have to be removed first right?
  8. I've tied/used them and have not had any issues with missing strikes. I like the idea as I don't want to harm/kill any fish esp schoolies. One day I got shad and strippers back to back on the same fly (clouser minnow tied on circle hook) with good results. Overkill? maybe, but I feel better about it. Bruce
  9. Do you need a saltwater licence? I can't wait. I would really like to go, hope it's soon, but memory servs that it is a little later in the year (I think) Bruce
  10. Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posting, I've been a little out of the norm lately. I'm doing well as I will finish up radiation again on Friday, I had cancer in one bone in the lowere left leg which was treated with radiation and then surgery, now it has passed onto the other bone in the same area (Tibia/Fibia???). If this doesn't work then I face an amputation, BUT the doctor and I have a strong beliefe that this will work. Kevin clued me into this thread and I told him as I will tell you, I would rather you guys did something for someone who is really in need. All I want or need is someone to go fishing with and give advice/help on fishing related subjects. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I have great insurance and the deductable was met a while ago. I'm just glad I havve a group of people like you. Thank you very much for everything and I will be in touch as I will be at work more now (they have the good computers). I need to get down to the beach/river this spring! Fishing is good for yout mental state. It has to be! Bruce
  11. I just tied a fly with a lip that I made with a hole punch (it fit really well). Is this a produce you can buy (the fly lip)? I'm hopeing it givesthe fly some action, not so much depth, though I will try some in different angles. Bruce
  12. Thanks! I just have to learn what is a good reel and if it's a good price (I'm kind of novice at this. Bruce
  13. Does the fighting butt unscrew and come off? Are you willing to ship to RI 02832? Don't know what cost would be.
