  1. I have quite a few of the older green Curado CU200s. The reels are serviced from time to time and are in great shape ......... but I would really like to replace the handles with something besides the originals. I have seen several of the later Curado handles that I like ....... particularly the CU300 ........... but can find no information on what will or will not fit. I am also open to after market handles but only seem to find large power type replacements .......... can anyone offer suggestions? Thanks, VSTK
  2. I have used nothing but lures for the last 20 or so years. I just seem to enjoy it more. It is even better to fish with something you have made or even a good friend has made ........... just a feeling of accomplishment.
  3. Hello ............. this is my first post here. I thought I should say hello and chime in on something I may have some input on. I wandered in after finding a post about top water lures via Google. I see Okie Angler is from my part of the world. Hello Okie ............ I just got back from a striper trip on Texoma ....... I fished for 2 days. I used maybe 2 top water lures and maybe 4 different lead slabs ......... butttttttttt, I carry a soft side tackle box that has 50 lbs. or more of tackle and I would feel completely unprepared to get on the water with out it. Always best to have it and not need it. 1st is for the variety ......... some days it is just hard to predict what we need ........ and 2nd ....... if something is working I don't want to be on the water with just one of them ......... I want to have enough that if I donate some of them to the deeps of the lake I still have some to fish with. I keep trying to convince myself to trim down the load ........... but I think the bag just gets heavier and heavier ........... I have tried to build boxes that I move in and out of my bag for different seasons and that has helped some. One thing that makes me laugh is I remember as a kid in Montana just grabbing 2 or 3 extra lures to have "just in case" and heading down the river chasing walleye and pike. My lure selection was either black and white or a red and white Daredevil spoon ........... and I never felt unprepared.
