  1. Hi Jurel. Sorry to hear your disappointed outburst about the reel that you expected so much from. My Saragossa works fine, but it has not yet been put to the test more than a few few times. I recently won a competition fishing for seatrout in DK. The prize is a trip to the Maldives next year! So I have to gear up. Maybe another Saragossa or Stella. The poppers weigh about 100-200grams. 100 lbs line and a very sturdy rod as it is GT we will be targeting. And then I have to work out to endure battles with 80-100 lbs fish. I hope Henrik will go too. Well he needs to toss 100 lbs himself first;-) Hope you still enjoy the MX fishing.
  2. Which one of those weird guys do you think have the longest diagnosis ?
  3. What great reports. I enjoyed it very much and I am thrilled with all your descriptions and captures. I´ve done some trips on my own and with friends through the last years. Having visited the Bahamas a few times and a few other places I like to discover new areas and meet new fishing addicts. If you go with low expectations, you´ll often get a positive surprise. I am somewhat new to The Pacific fishing, as I have only been to The East Cape once. I am going to PV or Costa Rica next year late march, early april. Would it be a long shot to go for På vej! area in that time of the year ? Or should we choose CR ? We are only 3 in our company and we have 12 fishing days . We are traveling all the way from Scandinavia, so we can not afford to go to the wrong area. Meaning that we would like to fish from a panga some days and go explore remote beaches and places on a day trip basis by car or ATV. Any advice will be appreciated.
  4. Hi. We are trying to gather a small group for a P D Mita/ Sayulita trip 2015. We will be going out late March for a ten day stay. We are looking for something like Baja but think it will be a bit warmer further south and near the mainland of Mexico. I have been to Baja a couple of years ago with some succes. I only caught a small rooster and a nice pack of jacks and of course the odd mix of exotic species. We think Baja is a bit off season in march as we read that the winds can put you oof the shorefishing, especially from shore. Thats the reason we are looking for new water. We want to do a mix of flyfishing from shore and from panga. What can we expect to encounter at this time of year ? Is it realistic to catch rooster? Mahi? Is it a good choice to rent ATVs as it is in Baja? My guess is to fly into Puerto Vallarta, take a cab or a bus to Sayulita and rent vehicles there. And stay in Sayulita or Punta De Mita in a bungalow or B&B. Does anyone have advice or good contacts on where to stay and which boats we should book? If anyone is interested in Greenlandic char (avg 3-4lbs) or fishing Scandinavia please feel free to contact me. Deanflyfish, new member.
