  1. Oilfish, Roosterfish, Tarpon, big Wahoo, and a Lightning Trout.
  2. I am in! I'm most thankful for my family, and the good people of this site who have helped me so much. Merry Christmas.
  3. Nice fish! Can't wait to use it next year, once my new rod comes in I might make a trip in the next few weeks seeing how it's still pretty warm, not high expectations, but why not.
  4. Not sure if this is a custom or not, but looks like it is. I won this in a giveaway, my plugging rod broke so can't report on how well it fishes.
  5. Thanks for all the input, if I ever did get these I was thinking as fishing them the same way as an eel, only shinier, no chance to get them live unless I move to the UK but it seems like they would be amazing.
  6. I've recently found out about launce (greater sandeel) from a fishing program in the UK, and was contemplating if it would make a great bait for stripers, I mean why not? They are usually around 7-10" long and their max size is about 14" long, and seem like they would be a great bait, just an over sized sandeel. If I could get my hands on some (I believe they are only found offshore in UK waters) I believe they would be a great bait. Just looking for other people's thoughts. Thanks for reading Here's an average size comparison:
  7. Thanks, I'll have to try that next time I'm out since temps dont seem to be dropping.
  8. Killer bass! What did you get them on? I'm having trouble weeding through the perch in my lake, they hit everything from a small grub to 5" rapala.
  9. Brought the kayak out of storage to take advantage of the warm weather this weekend. Yesterday was better, 60 degrees and overcast with no wind, caught a 3lb bass and plenty of perch but nothing else. Today was sunny and 65 with a cold breeze that had me drifting around the lake perfectly, perch were sparse and I found a new cove which held tons of small bass around 8". Managed to find a couple 12" ones in the mix as well. Not the best weekend but was good for December.
  10. Thanks! Actually I was rather lucky to have hooked him on the outside of the mouth, its 15lb braid tied to 15lb mono using a improved albright knot, I was using 25lb but my leader got too short so had to re-tie with the 15lb.
  11. Thanks man!, I've yet to have any luck in the salt myself, just some shad I've used for bait for catfish.
  12. Took out the kayak for the last time this year, was a nice 60 degrees and dead calm. Water temps still low but plenty of action. Hooked up to countless perch and a few decent bass. Also a new PB pickerel coming it at 27in and 5lbs. Also there was a beautiful sunest paddling back to end a great last day.
  13. Went out today, not as windy as yesterday, managed to pick up a decent pickerel and a few perch, but most of the vegetation has died out and the fish were scattered.
  14. Thanks man, I'm going to go out again this weekend and see if I can get some more before it gets too cold.
  15. Took the kayak out on Thursday and Friday for my days off of school, thursday was cold and overcast but produced about 20 yellow perch all around 10", and a large mystery fish that came off before I saw what it was. Friday was more fun, windy and sunny I drifted around the lake with my friend, catching loads of small bass and perch all around 8". Right before dusk we moved to the shallows where my friend caught a nice white perch and I caught my first carp, 6lbs 22in, on my ultralight setup, was a really fun fight. Good couple of days on the water.
