I have 5 of the sarguses and got rid of my battles for more, they have been amazing reels for the price. Ive had screeming runs on my 8000 to where smoke was litteraly pouring off the reel and nothing failed and its smooth as ever still.
Hugely based on where you live. Although ive had 3 fish stolen from me off my OK in NJ one being a 30lb class striper to big browns and one what looked like a bull. There are some serious inshore sharks in NJ
They cant be right or wrong. Some would like to own the title of an IGFA workd record, others enjoy the pride of releasing potential fish. Being a shark fisherman myself i would release the fish but if your clients want otherwise it is ultimately up to them. Either way you need to recongnize the skill utilized to capture a shark of such proportionate size
I always have a spool of 50lb flouro for the flats in the keys, snook up on walls, and its greatly preffered offshore with YF, sailfish. Up here all i use is mono for bass, blues, weakfish, fluke, except sharks.
