  1. I find that the conquer is more of an inshore reel. It is great at playing fish and because of its extra gears, it releases the heat created by the gears and drag washers in the long run of a fish. I use the conquer as my permit and bonefish reel. The spinfisher v is more of a workhorse, it is solid with high drag levels and even though the lighter levels are used as inshore reels I prefer to use them as nearshore or offshore reels. They are very simple but they are solid and will do the desired job. Honestly you can use either reel for inshore or nearshore/ offshore. The spinfisher v is a lower price and in my experience require less repairing in the long run. I have used my sv6500 for tarpon and snook, but oftentimes it has been put up against bruisers like grouper, and big blackfin tuna. Overall it depends on what you are using each reel for but they are both great reels. Take another look at you price range as well.
