  1. Nice size gator blues this morning… but what I really wanted to share is that the inevitable happened—I took a treble hook through my left thumb when unhooking a thrashing fish. The hook went in deep and clean. Luckily, I started crushing my barbs this year! So the damage was minimal. I took my plier and cut the hook by the barb and backed out the shank. Wrapped my thumb with a band-aid then hockey tape and went back fishing. Crush your barbs before it’s too late!
  2. Hi, I have an original Penn Clash 5000 that’s feeling a bit geary/not smooth… can this be restored to like new smoothness if I send it in to be serviced? It’s about 3 years old. Thanks,
  3. Was there about 2 weeks ago... Had 2 small porgies that went back...very slow fishing. Also, for whatever reason, they were only allowing fishermen with “permit” to field 2 (farthest east). Good thing I brought my Jeep and showed them my 4WD pass and they let me in. I thought it was only because I got there early, but they were still checking by the time I left around noon.
  4. This one passes it 5x... I do 2x and 20 turns
  5. In the end, when finishing the knot, pass the tag end twice... Search for Improved Albright in this site.
  6. Make sure you scrap off the braid coating with your nail. When tying, I try to make the turns tight and neat before cinching. Make sure it’s wet and do 20 turns then run the tag end twice in the eye before cinching. For good measure, I cup the spool and pull on the leader until I’m comfortable that the knot won’t slip above the drag setting I’m using.
  7. Is it the same marketing team that came up with this logo?
  8. Both 70s and a blurple 50 if you split. Thanks
  9. Hi, I’ll be in NJ in two weeks and willing to pick up. I’m interested if you can share some pictures. I have a Jeep GC WK with factory cross member. (I will take it)
  10. She was told by her husband what to do...
