37'' striper caught off a dock at night. 10lb braid 12lb fluoro on a bucktail. after a 10 min fight we got the fish in but could not lift it as we knew it would break off. luckily it was dead low tide so i did what any other hardcore fisherman would do. give the rod to my friend and i jumped into 3 ft water and grabbed the fish by the gills
the messed up thing is the area you were in is super rich, those kids' parents could have all the money they ever wanted and spoil the crap out of their children, or they are just LongBranch/ASbury scumbags, either way these kids are nuts nowadays

How are you catching the butterfish? cast net or sabikis? i would love to load up for offshore fishing. Down here in AC there are tons of bunkers off the beach as well as schools of Anchovies.
Asking what the title says, Last year at this time i was dropping and reeling up spot after spot off the dock and beach and was able to load my pen for the fall. Havent seen one or heard about any caught this year yet, Im in the AC area so any other areas in NJ producing??
Thanks chewy just extremely frustrating im pulling her this weekend as my new boat is going in better to just keep her in the driveway as a backup than sell her for anything cheaper
