  1. i really like heddon supersonics. but in general, if its a smaller lure i like it for some reason or another! im currently located in NC. im gonna post some pics of the lures i did find in this one lot that i picked up so i can find out what they are hopefully.
  2. i stated a while back that im trying to get started with a lure collection. i asked for help with getting started and got some info but i havent had any luck. ive hit garage sale after garage sale and several antique stores in search of hidden gems. i did venture a hour and a half away to pick up a lot that contained a few flatfish, rapalas, bombers, and some unknowns. thats all i have got so far. just looking for tips on maybe finding lures more frequently or maybe just my ignorance in not realizing that maybe the hoby is just this painstaking!!! lol thanks for any help
  3. ok thank you i will look into those other mentioned companies and see what i can come up with. will post back if i find my culprit.
  4. i tried to quote the post with the pic. let me know if it works.
  5. i dont think the lure says heddon on it but my dad bought it about 30-35 years ago and has had it ever since.
  6. this is the lure im talking about. looks like a super sonic but its an interesting pattern.
  7. was wondering if the heddon super sonic came in other color patterns other than the lightning bolt. specifically if it came in yellow with three red dots on the side and one black dot on the fin. i would upload the pic, but having difficulties with it right now. thank you for any input.
  8. i was wondering what, if anything, older lures made by bomber and manns are worth. other companies i have come across is devil horse and doll. do any of these play in the same ball park as companies like ccbco, pflueger and heddon? thanks for any input.
  9. i guess i would just like to collect the antique lures in general. i like to look at them and think of the history of our great sport and see how far it has come while staying true to the old ways. are the encyclopedia books good for learning whats collectable and whats not?
  10. i need to stumble on a deal like this. it seems like it will be tough to get started with this hobby otherwise!
  11. this style is one of my favorites
  12. by builder im assuming yous mean the company. if so, i have been looking at the different ones and noticed that im not really into one company but rather differrent styles of lures. but i planned on picking up a couple of books and really learning how to tell what is what. what books should i be looking into?
  13. hi, i was recently turned on to lure collecting and have been thinking about it ever since. i was wondering if i could get some tips on how to get started with a collection of my own. any advice is helpful and greatly appreciated.
