  1. Greed, for lack of a better word, is good.
  2. Agree that it was pretty balanced; but I think the regulators came off looking like bureaucrats with little to no hands-on experience. Having said that, I've wondered about their assertions for the past couple years. Last season, I would limit-out (recreational) on cod in about 15 minutes... every single trip. And I'll be the first to admit I'm a novice saltwater fisherman.
  3. I've never ventured past the Shoals, but thinking about trying a run to Jeffreys for haddock. Partly for the adventure (while waiting for the stripers to move in) and partly b/c of the new take limits. Not looking for lat/longs or anyone's honey hole... but anyone willing to give a newbie at least a general description of where to fish out there?
  4. I've used the cobbler in Portsmouth... no complaints.
  5. Mumichog... Really appreciate the help... thanks.
  6. Thanks Chunkah... you're right, that's a pretty far drive. But if I get really desperate, I'll let you know.
  7. I've tried to call Ipswitch Outboard, but the number is disconnected. I found a posting on another internet forum where someone said it looks like they've closed up shop!
  8. I'm looking for an outboard mechanic on the NH seacoast, but willing to travel up to an hour into Maine or Mass. 1997 Johnson 115 2-stroke, probably needs the carbs rebuilt. Can anyone make a recommendation? Thanks. (I posted this in the Boating forum too... )

  10. I dunno about that... there are sumo wrestlers as agile and poised as ballet dancers, and fit/skinny folks who can't stand on one leg for two seconds. It's all muscle/brain, not size or shape.
  11. Being top heavy or not doesn't really matter, it's all in your sense of balance. I can tell you that I struggle to stay up on a real paddle board, but the versa board is super easy to balance on while standing. Fly casting adds some complexity to remaining upright...
  12. I fly fish from a hybrid SOT kayak/SUP board (VersaBoard)... I highly recommend it.
  13. Hi, I've got a rough running Johnson 115... can anyone recommend a mechanic in the NH seacoast area?
