  1. It is made by cobra? Okuma has there name on it. Here is a pic..... And here is how/where it was stored..... Outside part shade/sun
  2. Cant seem to make it any bigger, but there is a crack in the corner. What looks like a dark line is basiclly a split in the bottom. When I pull the yak out, the water was running out of that??
  3. S.O.S.~Yak Down! Took the yak out today for the first time this season and discovered IMO a big problem. This is the biggest problem..... This is the next problem..... This looks like it will be a problem soon..... They look like "stress cracks" or something, I don't know????? Yak took on a bunch of water, heavy as hell getting it out of the water. Now what do I do, or who do I take it to? I've put to much time, effort, and money into this hobby just to come to a dead end now. Any help, advice, or .02 will be greatly appreciated!
  4. Thanks for critiquing every thought I had on this issue. I was basally saying that I have attended events & fund raiser and have seen the hard work the islanders did to avoid what has happened. They came together as a community. Terms like "sold out" should not be used to describe what these people do and have had to do. I live in a small town, I have friends and family members that interact with Terrance Boyle on a daily bases, in his court room, at the morning coffee shop, and the local dive lunch counter, at his wife's art gallery shows and at church. So you want to know what I know, well I can say much on a public forum. My point being, yeah I should not say things I heard repeated in a small dinner..., but this guy is ruthless and is not flexible(Judge Boyle). We need to be thankful for what we have, because he wanted to shut the whole place down, for good. And for the people that signed the consent degree, they should not be ridiculed, they sold know one out. This is bad for everyone, but do not blame the people that signed the consent degree.
  5. Hmmmmmm, you think the people down there sold you out????? Seems to me if they did not sign, no one would ever use the beach again. I was down last week and things seemed back to normal. Funny how you call it "your beach" when it is effecting the livelihood of the local folks, and probably has no effect on you up there in Maryland, other than messing up your vacation. Do not blame others for signing when YOU do not know what REALLY when on behind closed doors. From what I understand... there is more to all this than meets the eye. Murry is probably not on the up N up, ... but do not point fingers at those that signed, they surely had more information than you or I, and acted in our best interest.
  6. I just want to say how nice the Frisco Hideaway is. Well, .....it was great! At first I will admit I was a little nervous being that it was someone's house, but it is set up just like a hotel. Once you open the door, it seems like you are in a hotel room. Ken, Jody, and Tater are super nice folks. There hospitality can not be found at other places. The atmosphere was perfect. My wife & I sat outside on the deck enjoying our favorite beverage and we both committed at the same time "this is soooooo peaceful!" It was the most relaxed I've been in a long time. It was all due to the laid back environment the Wilson's have created. And as far as fishing is concerned.... The location is awesome, just minutes from Ramp 49, ten minutes to Ramp 55, and not very far from the point ramps. I would recommend the Frisco Hideaway to anyone and everyone. I will be back, soon I hope! Thanks Ken, Jody & Tater!
  7. My contribution was 1/154. But it was my first drum and I was excited. Small compared to most, 24 inches. From that grass last year, and the weather the three years before, this was a good year. (except 4 the weather) Even though the conditions were brutal, it was fun because we were catching fish. Like Derrick said about the reds, the same was true about the blues as well. We caught lots of blues, all to small for tournament competition. You have to be in good shape to fish those conditions, my arms are sore from throwing 8/10 oz. weights. But it was tons of fun! I'm already think about next year.
  8. How do you join your crew? I have fished all my life, and no one from " my crue" has ever held a fish like that! Or sell us the GPS cords.
  9. I have been reading reports where folks R WEARING THEM OUT! Is there bait on UR hooks?
  10. Better to have it than not have it!
  11. Just searching for information about next weeks tides and came across this site: http://www.saltwatertides.com/dynamic.dir/ncarolinasites.html This may be old news, but I thought I would pass it along.....
  12. U No, the same happened 2 me when I bought a Penn 525. I sent N 10. and never got my tshirt. I would expect if you spend $200.00 U would get the tee shirt?????? Not that a shirt compares to a reel, but your post reminded of the whole thing..... Give them a call (804) 329-8400
