    Canal

Headin up to the cape this wknd and looking forward to fishing the canal. I've noticed it's gonna be a new moon with low tide around 6 am. The wind is supposed to be blowing 10-15 mph NE.. In your opinion, will there be a strong current with the expected conditions? Thanks for your help.

    Hither Hills

Hi Guys, Myself and my new wife will be staying at a house right by Hither Hills. I'm looking to fish the beach early am and late pm throughout my stay. Im thinking about bringing topwater pencils/plugs and some tins. Any suggestions on specific brands/types? has the fishing been good out there thus far (i'll be coming from Westchester, NY)... thanks for your help!
  3. hey man, try sunken meadow in eastham..... go at dead low so you can walk all the way out. I've heard blues have a tendency to get caught there .

    mirror lures

Has anyone used a mirror lure top dog jr for bass? I have a spot where I have been fishing them this early spring for the first time and the bass absolutely love them. I removed the front treble because I hooked one pretty bad with both and I think I lost it on the release... I felt awful. He/she was a schoolie but it still sucked. Also, i'm feeling that the spring run might start a little early in the western sound because of the warm weather. Tight lines to all and enjoy the new season!!!
  5. I just started my 2 week spring vacation. I'm heading down to ft. lauderdale this friday and while im there i'll be going tarpon fishing. Man I love those guys!!!! Everything about fishing them is skill. The presentation, the hookset, and the fight. I love it!! I can't wait until spring. I'm catching my 30 lber. this year i have a feeling!!!!! maybe with a lami surf and jetty and VS depending how my trip to gulfstream goes . Tight lines fellas
  6. Mt three main rods are a 7' tica dolphin, 10' tsunami airwave, and 7' ugly stick for chunkin bunker.
  7. I have a cabo 40 and 60 and I love them both! Some easy maintence is all you need every once in a while to make these reels work great!! I have a 40 on a tica dolphin 7 footer and a 60 on tsunami airwave 10 footer.
  8. hey buddy, I find that kastmasters work very well during early summer. Once late august and early september hit I find that bait work best (spearing). Also, buy yourself a snapper popper they're awesome. I've caught close to a hundred a day using those things...... again, early summer.
  9. capt jeff maggio (954) 294-5822 Great Tarpon fisherman in the ft. lauderdale area. Light tackle with bait.. i highly recommend
  10. I love the quantum cabo's!! I have a 40 and 60. I spent exactly $200 each and they were well worth it. Very easy to maintain as well.
  11. Hey whats up fellas!! I just got back from an awesome tarpon trip with captain Jeff Maggio out of Ft. Lauderdale. I caught numerous snook and tarpon using live shrimp all after the sun went down. If you want to check out my report and pictures go to edited and click on the reports section.
