  1. Do a google search on mickey lure. Mike
  2. Husky, How long do you have to wait for the mold to cool between pours with the Bondo. Just curious I made one out of Bondo for the Got Cha lure heads and had to let the mold cool after every 2 pours. I'm going to make one out of silicone next the Bondo is showing some wear of course it's 5 years old. Mike
  3. Yes, they sell molds for the flutter lure from a 1/4 oz up to 9 oz.
  4. Do a search for flutter jig. Not exactly the same but they are great for Stripers. They are actually a jigging spoons.
  5. Thanks removed the link but it still remains in your quote. Mike
  6. I think your talking about the old butter bean jig. If so Do-IT molds Mike
  7. You probally have a woodturners club near you. Those guys are always willing to help. They can teach you how to use the tools of the trade. Here's a link for New Jersey Woodturners. http://www.njwoodturners.com/ Mike
  8. Nice job. The larger and thinner you go makes me a little nervous. I have blown apart bowls just trying to make one more pass and catch the gouge. I wear a faceshiield now. What kind of finish are you going to use? Mike
  9. Hilts had a mold kit for coping existing parts. I used it for some jigs I hand carved and it worked great I still have it. I also used JB weld to make the head of a GotCha plug works good but you have to let it cool down the same as bondo. I/2 inch pvc pipe heated and stretched to get the taper then just wire the hooks in. As for the SPRO type jigs I broke down and bought the Do-it ultra minnow in 3 and 4 oz for $38.00 the detail looks great can't wait to try them out. Mike
  10. That's true Derrick and I thank you again. I have fished local spots before and had the same guy there every weekend watching me pull in fish after fish. I could see he was a dedicated fisherman so I let him know about the small drop off I was fishing. The next time I saw him was 2 weeks later. He was fishing another spot and doing very well. He told me the exact location I still run into him every now and then he's retired now and keeps me well informed. Mike
  11. That's going to make for some tough reports. I may be wrong but I think people visit this forum for generalized information might be less inclined to do so. I agree with being too specific will cause spot burning but we are not putting them on the X. I guess we could just list the body of water but the spots that are listed come up in the local fishing reports. Mike
  12. Poppy, Thanks for the tutorial. There's a great wealth of information in that post. Mike
  13. Maybe we are related I just looked back at the picture. Looks like I'm bald only the gray showed up Mike
