  1. Al's goldfish was invented by Al Stuart of Stuarts Sportsman Center in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield. They have been out of business for many years and another co. markets the Al's goldfish. I still have a couple old ones from Stuarts.
  2. We always called them perch bugs. They eat mosquito larva so are good to have around. They are a deadly spring trout bait. The best inmy opinion.
  3. B.Downing it was a serious question.I don't want to get involved with Tik Tok.I just downloaded the Merlin app.
  4. I looked up the Merlin bird app.Do I have to be on Tik Tok to get it? The Tik Tok logo was also there.
  5. Looks like rabbit droppings also known as smart pills.
  6. There is a boat ramp just below the dam on the S.Hadley side. There is a gate there that I'm not sure is open at this time of year.
  7. I have one little female still coming every day. This is the latest I can remember having them around.
  8. Zak I have fished all of those places.I still fish for shad below the dam on the S.Hadley side.
  9. I grew up with Ct. river at the end of my street in Spfld.Heavily polluted but I Fished there anyway. The sewer outlets were the fishing hotspots.Being a kid I didn't care.Just wanted to fish.
  10. The small fish shown in the picture at Wachusett Res. Could that have been a redfin pickerel? They are a species of small pickerel that does occur in the state.
  11. I've noticed the large amount of nip bottles everywhere too.Really adds to the roadside litter. Something else to think about also is the amount of people driving around that are at least somewhat impaired.Doesn't make for a good feeling as you are driving around.
  12. You may be right about it being a male. This one had a lot of green on it and a white throat and breast. Also I had heard the males migrate south first and this one has been coming to the feeder alone for at least two weeks. That is why I thought it was a female.
  13. I had one yesterday, same small female that has been around by herself the last two weeks.Hadn't seen her for a few days and thought she was gone.Haven't seen her today. This in western Ma.
  14. I wonder if some of them are from the group of people known as travelers. There is supposed to be a large group of them in North Carolina. They spread out across the country using various scams such as the good deal on an asphalt driveway and other household fixes. In Ireland they are known as tinkers a name they do not like. The ones in this country are sometimes called American gypsies.
  15. I knew somebody who got it once but it was a long time ago.He came close to dying but recovered.I've heard the organism lives in soil so couldn't it be any where?
