  4. I was in Big Fork Montana. I did not know the volcano blew. I started to see what looked like a huge thunder storm approaching from the west. As it rolled across Flathead lake I knew we were in for trouble. All of a sudden it is dark and still. No birds, no squirrels, just silence like a snow storm but this was warm dust. A state of emergency was declared. Most of the guests at the motel we were managing went to stay with who ever they were visiting. We had one family of 6 that had no where to go. I was allowed to go into town and get supplies for them. We all ate and hung in the managers days later we had a rain storm that cleaned a lot of the dust away. I still have a coffee can of the stuff. It got into every thing.
  5. No expert but have had a M&P Schreiner #50 for over 30 years and was in my wife's family for many years before. This Grandfather clock must be level. Always had issues when it was on carpet. I have found over the years it was worth it to have serviced. It was built in the 1800 and only loses about 1 min a week.

  12. Toples, TELL your Dad how you feel about him. My wife lost her father when he was 60 on a business trip (30years ago) and still regrets not saying I love you when they hung up. There was no issue between them just in a hurry and I will tell him when he comes home. He didn't. I made sure that was not going to happen to me. About a week later I sat my parents down and told them how much I loved them and thanked them for all they did. ( was still pissed about no corvette for high school grad but forgave them:) ) Lucky for me my dad lived to 89, and up to the day he died he KNEW that I loved him, and I knew he knew. NO REGRETS. Same rule for MOM
