  1. Closing this thread here on SOL, as per the BST rules, to post elsewhere. Thanks!
  2. Bump and a drop to $1,300.00. Will add a Lowrance Elite 4 with transducer and wiring for $1,400.00. Going to keep this here for another day or two. Thanks!
  3. Got a chance to look at the serial # and Revo was manufactured in 2012. Again, in great shape.
  4. C'mon now Bentstick. We both know you would be in big trouble at home if you gave away all that cheese...
  5. I have the old school wheels that go up into the scupper holes as well as the Wheeleez Kayak Cart.
  6. ~ 2011 Hobie Revolution 13 Kayak with Mirage Drive (Hibiscus Red) - $1,450.00 Kayak is in great condition. Has been fresh water washed after every outing (maybe 25 max in it's lifetime) and nothing to report in terms of non working parts. Mirage Drive, with ST fins, has been well maintained and is in great working order. Ready for FF/GPS head unit and wiring and includes two YakAttack mounting rails. Original seat and Hobie paddle. Please note that upgraded sailing rudder pictured is not included. It will be the original rudder. Other accessories, such as wheels, FF/GPS, rod holders, etc. are negotiable for additional cost. Located in Essex County, NJ. Thanks for looking! Happy to answer any questions in this thread. Can add more pics asap. Dave
  7. Revo is the original size one... About 13.5ft.
  8. Sorry for the slow reply's. Please PM me with your mobile number or email and I'll connect you directly with my buddy in Caldwell to check it out. Revo is still for sale.
  9. I'm helping my buddy sell his Orange Hobie Revolution. It's in Caldwell, NJ. The kayak itself is about the same year that click-n-go came out and the drive is a year or two older, but was updated to work with it. Installed accessories included, or available separately, is an Eagle Cuda FF/GPS combo, flag, a couple of ram tubes and a yellow carlisle paddle. The kayak was used moderately for it's first few years with typical scratches on the bottom of the hull, and then has been unused in a garage for the last three years. There is no guarantee that the drive is perfectly tuned. It may need some adjustments and a little TLC, but that is perfectly doable. My drive is even older and runs like new as I've replaced a few parts and upgraded it over the years. He also has a size large kokotat dry suit worn only one or two times. I believe that $1,200 is a fair price for the yak and installed accessories. Dry Suit, PFD, etc. would not be included but you can MBO for those. Here are a couple of shots of the yak and my crazy buddy : (Note how the first owner loves reflective tape)
  10. Hope you find it Ed! Keep up all the great work with the kids!
  11. Slow and low.... Here's what I do at least... I'd say about 150' of line out. Too little and they will be just skimming the surface. If I'm fishing 10' or less I'll just go straight to the tube with just a barrel swivel (for line twist) before a fluro leader. Anything deeper than that and I'll put a small keel on before a slightly longer leader. The keel allows you to add small egg sinkers that bring it down lower in the water column, which is where you want to be. Have a set of sizes handy to swap out to where you are just not catching bottom. 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 oz and up if going real deep. You can get good keels from the same co's that make the tubes. Then just go real slow with them. I like the tube's that you can re-shape to a little bit of a spiral as they have a strong wire running through them. Hope that helps! Good luck.
  12. I, personally, wouldn't want my vhf in the pocket of my pfd. Pain the rear to take in and out every time I want to use it and even more so if I was in trouble and needed to get to it quickly. Most people attach to the outside of the vest and use it from there. If you go that route, you want to consider which we it's pointing so that the antennae isn't going up your nose... I put mine straigt across my best sideways. For this reason, I avoid vhf units that have swivel clips that let the vhf swivel up and down even if I attach left to right. I want it to stay in the direction I attach it so striaght clips are best for that. Also, I added a lanyard to the clip with a small clip which goes around my neck so I don't lose it if needed in an emergency. Hope that helps...
  13. Good to hear they beefed up the keys. With that, I have no problem at all recommending it.
  14. I have been using one for a number of years. No problem with the quality other than the plastic keys breaking if you put too much pressure on them. They might have better keys now. Otherwise, the rack has served me just as well as the thule one I had before it. Got the INNO because they were the only mfr that made a fit kit for my model infiniti. Price was right too! About half the cost of the comparable thule system. Oh, one of my bars bent a bit after rear ending a truck on my trip home from montauk with my revo on the roof. Yak and rack went flying off the roof on 95... ugly scene. Anyway, reason for the story is that INNO can use thule square bars so that was a convenient and easy to way to replace the bar.
  15. YakAttack sells back plates for mounting. Real beefy and holes line up perfectly with their greartracs. Works real well! Super strong. If you are mounting a 12" trac, you can just use 2 4" backing plates at each end to make it solid. The gt90 tracks are narrow enough for my revo gunwales.
