  1. Yellowtail is pretty much a year round fish for us down here at the Channel Islands. Fin bait works for us, but candy bait never hurts.
  2. I'll take the Trump Troll for 15.00 bucks shipped if interested. Paypal.

  3. Your friendly Channel Islands Chartermaster.

  4. Happy New everyone!! I wish allthe best in 2013 and happy catching. From bajadave and the Dark Kings fishing club.
  5. Hello everyone, February is a great month for fishing the surf, Perch are spawning and larger predators like dog sharks, shovelnose shark, and maybe a hali can show up. Your best chance would be to use a trout rod with 6 Lb test and a 1-2 in grub with a small egg sinker about 2 feet above the hook. Sand crabs, shrimp, or the grubs will work well. Don't need to cast out far just behind the white wash and slow retrieve. Lots of fun and a beautiful scenery, the beautiful Channel Islands. Bajadave
  6. AAAHHHh.. Dark King's best............beer googles
  7. All great information, I would reframe from using braid for salmon, I would recommend a slow action rod with regular mono. Having the extra stretch prevents the hookset from ripping out of the salmon mouth. Light drag has always worked well for me, especially on a dead boat.
  8. You can float around or search for baitballs, then start mooching just uphill of the baitball. I like to Drop back with a small weight and let it out slowly, I sometimes wound the bait before letting drift out.
  9. Been a few caught down here in Ventura. Conditions look good but the fish are gun shy when heavy boat traffic is around. Hey Tom, Got your DG gear ready to ship, just need some time to go to the post office.. I better get down there before this Friday or service will be shutdown.............what a joke!
  10. West cobina is doing fine...................Still trying to catch that stupid fish. Weathers been excellent down here and hoping for a great run on the white seabass. Let me know when those salmon start biting. We have exploratory boats going out down here, Can you believe that? In serach of the large trout, let me read up on this little bugger
  11. AAhhhh............Can I say I don't love you?
  12. Welcome and we look forward to some fish reports.
  13. Nice report, I haven't been to Mag Bay is several years. I love the inshore and mangrovesfishing. I use to drive dowm from California all the way down to cabo. I would take serveral weeks off and make the trip. One question! How were the roads and did you have any problems traveling up to mag? With all the problems happening now, I have second thoughts about driving down or even driving more then 50 miles ratios from cabo. You had a long trak from cabo to mag bay. There's some lonely roads in some places. Just be careful.
