  1. A little tip about Natural Cork. You can use cork dust (particles after sanding and shapeing) to fill chips/seperations in the cork. Collect some dust and mix it with Elmers Glue. Fill the area let dry 24hr. Make a file for shapeing via a Toung Depressor glue on strip 400 grit wet dry paper 600 is good as well. U-40 is a sealer it not only seals out soil but locks in the filler used at Manufacture. After applying U-40 the Cork has a different feel, spin the dried grip and do a very light 600 sand. It will still be sealed but have the original feel back.
  2. Young Man, you would enjoy reading the book "The Shinning Tides". You encountered Roccus"
  3. Very rare items, classic catchers, fair prices
  4. Your basic enemy is the Sun. UV Rays ect. I’ve also had great results with U40 but on Natural Cork. It will prevent penetration of foreign substances into the grip. Personally I was always found of the texture of Cork Tape. Fortunately replacement is cheap and easy.
  5. New old stock with original box and loaded
  6. For NOS with box textured finish $35 with Hg it will be waiting for you.
  7. Ok pretty sure Ioaded it and hung with the spare’s. No hook rash whatsoever just a bit of dirt. $35 shipped
  8. Quiet yet, worming was popular then. get you a picture in a bit
  9. Hey Ted, hows this??? It's been juiced but carried
  10. I found one one ebay ilisting #296234654150 I think you'll have to file the inner diameter to fit. Bottom row fourth from left.
  11. You can achieve a nice texture via this method. Get some XXXcourse sand paper, pre shape it around a wood dowel with some string, once shaped trim length and glue in place on the blank with Contact Cement. Use the smallest diameter shrink you can fit over the sandpaper and shrink in place. The end result will reassemble a texture that has small bumps like a Frogs skin.
  12. We used to call these "Linoleum Grips". RePost this in the Rod Building Fourm someone will have some. You've got to hang a 706 off that old stick.
  13. If you're a bit handy this works remarkably well. While not rotory nothing will budge.
