  1. I like a lot of the suggestions so far, I think many of them are standard equip in most vehicles. Just hoping the interior doesn't look like the new 4runner- styling reminds me a big boombox my roommate had in college:p NS1
  2. Just saw the butt end teaser shot of it looks kinda like the Tundra. I was going to order a 14-15 Taco to replace my Jeep GC but holding off until the NY car show so I can take a look. Hope its a complete makeover and not just a refresh, been awhile since its been upgraded. What would the board like to see...besides a diesel? NS1
  3. Can you even get a NY 4x4 permit with a registration that says AWD? Huh...? Northshore1
  4. Hmmm- I'm looking at 2014-15 Tacoma's right now to replace my 04 Jeep GC. Looking at this thread are they really having frame rust issues all these years later?? I can't believe Toyota with the eye on profit just wouldn't spray the frame instead of spending 16k for a rebuild:confused: Maybe a Ford 150 then... NS1
  5. [ places like montauk are different. I am a pretty good customer of Paulies.. I dont have to ask where the fish are, but I do hang in there and listen to what other people ask.. the yuppie who walks and asks where the fish are gets the best answer.. where are you staying? Surf club-- best spot in town, right behind your hotel there is always fish.. LOL the occasional guy gets "hows the fishing?".. been pretty good.. some blitzes here and there.. mostly during the day... guys like me? we get, "you know where you want to be tonite right?" A simple nod as an acknowledgement is all it takes.. LOL You summed that up pretty good Dave- I do the same thing over a cup of coffee on his stoop. It is pretty funny thou when a true sharpie comes in to schoomze......turns into an old EF Hutton commercial.... gets real quiet LOL NS1
  6. Yngwie can rip harmonic minor scales all day long, but the "dungeon and dragon" thing gets old fast. When I was 19 I thought it was pretty cool thou.. NS1
  7. They do and they dont- there are no absolutes in this sport. I have had fish on the end of a huge cast throwing a Lami 11m while my buds using a 10m went fishless- just those extra couple yards in a cast meant the difference. Most times they are much closer than we think, and sometimes they're swimming along side of us in the wash and behind us! Keep plugging- you'll get it. The first year or so is always the toughest. Time spent fishing is the best way to increase your learning curve. When the puzzle that is surfcasting comes together - its a great feeling. NS1
  8. Not - Just saw pics- nice fish for a young man. NS1
  9. Just was watching the live video feed- see how much oil is being contained by that cap....does'nt seem all that much. They have the wrong date on the monitor camera- 5/6/10 , its June guys yeah I feel pretty confident NS1
  10. So Dave- you gonna accompany yourself when you belt out " Dont stop Believing" If it does'nt work out on BST--- I saw a bunch of starter sets at Sam Ash for about 2 bills or so.....don't skimp to much on the guitar thou- a quality instrument is much easier to play and something you can grow into as you get better. Craig/NS1
  11. How many plugs extra are you looking for past the 100 buck? NS1
  12. Thanks Steve- See ya there with Marcelo, getting thirsty already Craig
  13. Step on its tail....might make it What kills me is : They post a pic of a fish with a nice detailed background Then in the next post they ***** about how crowded its going to be Then they chastise each other about a spot and keeping it cool Then the next day they do it AGAIN....ad nauseum and repeat the process. You know I keep a log, put my time in and drive the wheels off all season long, and I do look at those posts. The way I figure it is Surfcasting is like a Jig Saw puzzle with alot of pieces.....you want to throw me a bone? I'm your huckleberry..Just make sure you got enough milkbones for the other 500 dudes looking at the screen. NS1
  14. Thanks Guys- gonna clean em this weekend, very handy tool NS1
  15. Last winter I bought a set of Oasis deflators and have only used them about 6 times or so. They've worked pretty good until yesterday- I screwed them to the tire and it seemed like they were stuck or not kicking over with the loud woosh of air---they sounded like springing a small leak I tapped one with a tire guage and it opened up- they rest did the slow leak. i know they get dirty and have to be cleaned but seems they have not been used enough to warrant me taking apart and cleaning.....I could be wrong-usually am Any ideas? NS1
