Appraiser of farms and farm businesses
  1. I know they are not on your list of choices, but I will chime in anyway. About 8 years ago one of my favorite fishing stores had a sale on conventional Daiwa Sealine surf rods and Abu Garcia reels. I bought 10' and 11' rods, and 6500 and 7500 reels. I have not been sorry one day. I also have a 9' spinning rod for throwing light plastics. The Daiwa Sealine is a really good rod at a budget price. IMHO
  2. This graphic is for the 2014-15 season only. They are fines for breaking rules.
  3. I hope your neighbor's house wasn't in the direction that you were shooting, just in case the bullet missed and passed through the wall and siding.
  4. Sorry fishinraiders, but I hate your post. The juice in meat is not blood, although those who want to dramatize their distaste for rare meat like to use that term. Blood is a distinctly different liquid.
  5. The Vikings are not a good team. GB will score often against them. I agree with the high ratings of Rodgers. He has some speed if he needs to run, but does a good job staying in the pocket. His chemistry with Jordy Nelson is remarkable. I will be interested in who takes away Nelson. Will it be Arrington or Revis or Browner? Arrington did a great job on Reggie Wayne on Sunday. Browner is not fast enough, IMHO. Funny how things change. The Pats had marginal cornerbacks for so long, and Alfonso Dennard was a starter. With the arrival of Revis and Browner, Dennard can't crack the lineup and the team is succeeding with the higher talent level. I hope BB takes this year's results into the future and structures the defense with truly talented cornerbacks.
  6. Thanks, Penn. My usual show to attend is the New England Saltwater Show. I am really glad you are on SOL.
  7. After the Denver and Indy games, I am not going to worry. Yes, Green Bay is a tough team, but BB comes up with a plan that hobbles the opposition. The defensive line of Detroit is big and tough, they may stop the Pats' running game, still Pats are 7 point favorites.
  8. BB's Pats are 10-3 after the bye week. The Colts are weak in areas of Pats' strength. While Pats are lowest in giveaways, Colts are 18th. Rushing fumbles, Pats are lowest, Colts are 32nd. Pass defense, Colts are 26th, Pats' pass offense is 9th. Gronk cannot be defended by the Colts' linebackers, and if they double him someone else will be open. Pats win, and big.
  9. How does everyone feel about Sunday night's game with the Colts? BB's Pats are 10-3 after a bye week. The Colts' linebackers will have difficulty covering Gronk. I'm expecting a W.
  10. TD!!!! The game is out of hand. Pats and Broncs will have the same record, with the Pats having the tie breaker, head-to-head.
  11. Pats have a great beginning from all phases of the game, defense, punt return, offense. Stretching out a lead. Edelman is the star so far.
  12. Brady tough? He is 88 for 91 on QB sneaks for first downs (best ever). That is tough in my book.
  13. Very hard to pick the winner here, for me. My gut says Pats at home, but they have shown weakness against the run. And the offensive line has had its issues, except in recent games. Manning has his record in big games, which is not good. (Is this a big game?) Yet the Broncos have surrounded him with outstanding talent this year. GM Elway is going for the gold. Assuming the offensive line can keep Brady upright, and Gronk stays healthy, I choose the Pats in a close game. I will be glued to the set on Sunday at 4:00.
  14. Jay, They could be bats. Bats need a very slim opening where the trim board meets the siding to find a way inside. Caulking those openings completely will exclude new entries, but those who are already inside will be trying to scratch their way out. You might have to listen to some desperate attempts to escape before things quiet down.
