  1. Timmay, So, did you order a Speedy Worm tee-shirt yet? You'd be stylin' on the gold course.
  2. Looking for a match for two others. These are pretty old, white blank, black and gold wraps, AFTCO guides, composite Slick Butt. Rated for 40-100 lb. line. Got one or two gathering dust I'm interested.
  3. Hey Rickman, Great stuff as always. I was wondering, the fifth bird down in this series. Is that a pine siskin? I've had some of those around my feeder the last few weeks in Jersey. Look very sparrow like, but a little larger with the striped belly. Had a white breasted nuthatch there this morning. Never seen one of those before, either.
  4. So many great war movies, but I'm surprised no one mentioned We Were Soldiers Once, and Young. Great Mel Gibson, Viet Nam battle movie and the beginning of the Air Cavalry. Riveting movie, great sound track. No one liked the new Tom Hanks film, Greyhound? I enjoyed it enough to watch it twice. Historic war films, Braveheart by a mile.
  5. A little something coming your way via PayPal, Tammy dear. Our best to you and your parents. Damn challenging way to approach the Christmas holidays. Maybe we should adopt them as our Christmas family this year... Nice job on the photos Rickman. Hope they bring in some real cash.
  6. Yeah, around the corner and I have to be afraid to visit with this damn COVID mania. We even share the same view of the Nevasink, from slightly different vantage points. When it's over and we're all vaccinned up, I'll take you fishing on the boat. Crazy world we live in now. Keep up the exercise routine and stay off my street.
  7. Holy shitzki! I just checked and would never have thought I've been around on this thing for so long. My 20th Anniversary is in three months! And to think I only joined so I could joust with Witek on fisheries stuff and ended up making one of the best friends I have ever had...TimS! We've had some really great times together, Humble Head Tyrant. Congratulations for making it this far with this crazy idea.
  8. Piriformis syndrome pain is similar to sciatica pain, but it only extends down the leg to above the knee. Sciatic extends down the length of your leg to the ankle. I know, I have had both. My sciatic pain was so intense I could hardly breath when it was at its worst, but the piriformis pain was more like a strong aching. I experienced the piriromis just a couple months ago and it would come on when I was driving for extended periods. I got under control with very specific stretches. When I injured my lower back triggering the sciatic episode my doctor and chiropractor worked together. MD put me on a Z-pack of prednisone for 7 days and the chiro used heat, deep electric stimulation and mild message every day for that week. The prednisone was a godsend. It reduced the swelling in the disk that was impinging the nerve down my leg and also reduced the nerve inflamation. At the end of 7 days the pain was less than half. A second z-pack was prescribed, but I only needed 3 more days of the stuff and the pain was gone. I bought a Teeter Hangup (inversion table) and started using it for a few minutes daily and the problem has never reoccurred. If it is piriformis, google Eric Wong Precision Movement and check out his videos on very specific stretches to reduce and eliminate piriformis syndrome pain. He's the best!
  9. I'm still wearing a 10 year old pair of Xtratuf insulated that they don't make anymore. They have a lighter neoprene model that wouldn't be too warm. I know your aversion to "too warm." Bimini Bay has a pair of warm deck boots on the website, but I don't know how good they are. They are inexpensive as this kind of boot goes. Fisherman's Supply in Point stocks several brands you could check out and try on.
  10. Spinfisher was sold to travisoneil for $150 plus shipping. This thread is closed.
  11. The Spinfisher is available and it's yours. How would you like to handle payment and obtaining it? Where are you located?
  12. Squall 15 is sold to WorcBoy for $85 plus shipping. The Spinfisher VI 7500 manual bail is still available.
  13. No word from Hydraman so if you'd like the reel let's do it. How would you like to handle payment and shipping?
  14. Well you were late with the tog jigs, but you got with the program after your first hookup. You were probably late to fish a certain reservoir that will remain nameless. I fished that body of water quite illegally with Dick Kondak (owned a high class shop called Kondak Outfitters in Westfield at the time and later became the NE rep group for Shimano) and a guy who held the Jersey record largemouth bass at the time (his name escapes me, but a lot of things escape me). That was in the late 70's and early 80's. It was kick ass then and as I understand from the Humble Head Tyrant, it is kick ass still. I live about a mile from the res, but have no access. If this virus **** ever goes away I would love to throw some spinnerbaits and worms around that body of water again. It would bring back some awesome memories. File that in the back of your Otter head. It would be nice to get you out on the Mako again, too. You, me and Timmah certainly had fun every time we got together. Not sure if the laughs outweigh the fishing or visa versa. PS: The sheepshead fishing in South Jersey has been getting better and better over the years. Might be a side product of global warming as the stocks increase and push back north again. I caught one on a bunker chunk fishing for stripers off Sandy Hook with captain Al Hilliard in the mid 70's. It fought like a 30-lb. bass, but turned out to be a 20-lb. sheepshead.
  15. Bill, I sent Hydraman a courtesy note requesting a response. If I do not hear back from him by tomorrow I will gladly accept your offer and work out the details with you. How's the bass fishing up your way. Are the fish still hanging in? I'm seeing big fish here the last couple weeks (North Jersey). Boat fish, so they obviously don't count.
