That's a beautiful tied bead head nymph.

The tail is great, all the barbules are bunched and located on top of the hook bend.

The thorax is perfect. The taper is awesome, one full turn exposed over the tail.

Tapers are the tough part to maintain, yours remain perfect without flatting out.

The biots are perfect too, proper length, matched, not twisted.

Hackles symmetrical.

You have skills.

Great Photo.

What size hook to give us an indication of size?

Nothing flies by me without a hook!
If my fly is down, That's a good thing.

Thanks for the compliment, that's a #12. I'll be doing #10's and #14's too, I'm so use to dying with hooks with /0 after it downsizing was interesting

Care to write the recipe.

Weasle, I love the fly, that style looks like a fish catcher to me,:th: but hate the biots! :(

No offense, it's just me, I simply do not like biots, as I feel they add nothing positive to a fly pattern.

I tend to substitute rubber or silicone leg material in place of biots, but for your fly might even sub a small tuft of marabou or similar soft hackle fibers.

No one likes to be behind the big truck, but it's better than being under it!

wont insult me, hate biots all ya want, its not my pattern :) I hate em at times also, mostly when tying em in as tails, as wings they don't bother me as much, this fly was designed using good dry fly hackle so that if you wished you could grease it up and fish it in the surface film as an emerger, though unlinke the video, I add 6-8wraps of lead as I want it on the bottom fast
