If someone one wants to wait around to buy one good for them if that's what makes them happy. As for me I'm not waiting and if I'm buying a plug it's getting fished.

I agree and a lot of my friends were in that line, i don't break their balls cause they are going to catch fish on them. Me i rolled in right at ten and i will admit i was disappointed i didn't get a show special needle, i already have dmags from when it was easy to get them and I missed out on grs but we had a nice talk and i will be taken care of. Im way more into fishing than i am into collecting anything. I understand the fun people have and i do like to look at my stuff in the offseason. I guess i value sleep and my home time right now. There will be plenty of time for no sleep once the run starts.

What you guys don't realize is the camaraderie of the all nighter guys. It's not all about waiting in line for plugs. You shoot the spit with guys from NY and PA and hear stories about which plugs they fished and caught with last year. You swap some plugs (I always bring a crate or two with me) and you drink some caffeine eat some garbage and generally socialize with fellow fishermen. You don't even start lining up until sun up there's sort of an unwritten code of who was parked there first and everyone stays warm in their cars until it starts getting crowded. At least this is how it works at Berkeley, the parking lot is in sight of the doors so you know that nobody is jumping in line before everyone agrees it is time. Last year I brought a movie player and watched some movies in my car before people started showing up.

I dont understand why people think it is so crazy but they will stand on a beach all night long, speak to nobody, and not catch a thing only to return and do it again the next day. What's crazier?
