Local66
I'm spending most of my summer in Quebec this year. Looking to book a guide for a day or two targeting pike/musky in the St. Lawrence. I'm throwing flies exclusively, but I'll be packing big rods and tungsten. Not my first trip to the area. Any suggestions are welcome. "Talent does what it can, genius does what it has to"
speedwell
Before I ask around, are you targeting the river right off Chateuguay (reasonably big water) or further east in the Valleyfield/Cornwall stretch where it is narrower? If you can, get into apple country around Hemmingford and do not miss the smoked meat at Schwartz in Montreal on St Laurent - also Winnies on Crescent Street. Local66
I'm willing to go wherever I have to for bigger fish. I'm staying in Il Perrot, it'd be cool if I could keep things local, but I'm pretty flexible. And I dig Schwartz's, but believe it or not we found a place called "Pete's smoked meat" in Il Perrot that's even better if you can believe that. Smoked meat poutine is evil.
