Finster
My team has the potential to be the worst team in MLB and I still can't wait for baseball to start.
Sudsy
Another season of watching the Yankees on their long slow spiral down to mediocrity I just wanta play everyday despite small nagging injuries -- and go home to a woman who appreciates how full of crap I truly am. ~ Crash Davis Social Distancing since 1962
Possum
Looks like a promising season for the NATS, and an interesting off season so far. I guess I'll start another NATS thread this year...maybe I won't be talking to myself this time RIP Mr. Ernie Banks. Unknown
Gotcow?
Can't get here fast enough. When baseball starts do you think people will stop complaining about the Patriots?
Highlander1
Pitchers and Catchers as well as spring training baseball provides no entertainment value for me at all, and I'm a baseball fan. Lets get to Opening Day, thats when it gets worth watching for some of us, for others, its a boring slow game, I could watch a doubleheader. Best game of them all, far less subjective rules and calls by officials, no time limits, the defense has the ball and can't score, different field dimensions, and the season is a marathon, everyday of summer is another page in the long story of a season, its pure American and I love it. Not claiming its the best TV game, football gets that vote, it is the best game, followed by basketball. Yeah, not much happening in Spring training, but it is nice to see the guys on a warm field when Winter is still kicking butt up North.. I sure do agree with your "best game of all" sentiment. NFL football on tv makes me grateful to live in such a great nation. Offseason Hot Stove& GM wheeling and dealing is major fun for me, if there are dramatic moves like the NATS have made this year. Vermonter
I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the Sox outfield.....weak defensive SS with a good bat is expected to play left..................................too many to think about, spring training will weed a couple out most likely. Lots of talk going around about a RS trade with the NATS for Jordan Zimmerman.....one of the best pitchers in baseball. If this happens your rotation will cover a middlin defrensive outfielder with a good bat. From my perspective losing Zimmerman would be a huge loss but the guy is on the brink of a huge deal that the NATS may not be able to offer.Trade him now and get something.Wait a year and maybe get nothing.....or maybe get a trip to the WS.
