Watersedge
I was on the east side of Moriches inlet looking over and to me it almost looks as though they either covered or removed all the dune line from the inlet to great Gun. What is there finished intent on this? It looks as though they are working on a area that was never a problem for the last 30 years.

LI Gaucho
Beach & Dune replenishment project. http://trihamletnews.com/beach-replenishment-project-update/ It was delayed due to the piping plovers BS. Watersedge
I know they had a beach replenishment plan for Smiths Point but why in this area of the beach? Yes there has been give and take of the beach here naturally for years. I would think if they wanted to do work in this area they would just need to pump up some sand and leave it at that, areas more to the west needed more help than this part of the beach. LI Gaucho
If i'm not mistaken there building up all the dunes to 13 feet. They will also create an area for plovers to nest. There was another article which I cannot find that explained in detail what will happen and length of the project. Keep what you can eat, The rest set them free to fight another day.LIBBA 2395

Camron
Beach replenishment project. I hear they are also dredging the channel for watch hill and putting that on the beach also. I was going to give it a shot getting over there to take a few pictures over the weekend but that might be difficult with the wind and small boat
