jerseycat9
Same rules as always: Report as little or as much as you wish but no "spot burning" for private freshwater areas that have limited access. I do not think it is a problem posting a report naming lakes like Round Valley, Lake Hopatcong or any of the other large lakes that can accommodate large groups of fishermen. But, once again, giving specific locations in those lakes is considered spot burning. If there is something reported that you do not agree with or consider a spot burn, report the post. Do not further burn the spot by quoting a spot burn. The theme will be learning how to catch fish, not where to fish. My name is Terry and I am a fisherman! Beastly Backlash
It was a nasty fall day with cold rain coming down so hard and constant that you might have felt like you were swimming. Refreshing, LOL! The eyes have really turned on in the past 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I have only been able to get out about 3 times in the past 2 weeks. To put the walleye's sizes in the pictures into perspective, the rod's handle length is 23in. This guy went 24in. And this walleye went 28in. Thanks, I love how hard the big ones hit the lures. No one else stayed out after dark. It is amazing what people miss when they leave early because of the dark, rain, or cold. Lost a bigger one on a 7" fallfish That first walleye you caught is a nice. I have caught a few in the past that were thin like the second walleye you caught, you feel bad for them. I like size 14 husky jerks and jigs to answer your question though. I actually switched out the stock hooks with mustad triple grips. I had too many shake the stock hooks last year. I wasn't going to risk it again.
freshfrompiney
Thats what I love about flicker shads. Triple grips are great I've landed a 45" muskie on a #7 flicker shad. Triple grips are definitely where it's at
