Way out of line

Disagreements on social media are becoming more and more prevalent so I wanted to hear what people thought about a something I've witnessed recently. I have no issue with a disagreement between two people or even a group of people. Not everyone is going to get along and who knows what will set someone off, but I'm not concerned with disagreements or how people are perceived based on an online argument. My concern is when someone posts a picture of another persons family online and makes comments about where they live. I feel this is way out of bounds and would think this could even be a legal issue.

I've see this twice in the past month or so and by the same person. This was two separate arguments the gentleman was involved in where he searched someones FB page and posted a picture of their kids followed by unsettling comments. Do you feel this crosses the line? Is this something that should be brought to the authorities? If so who... the local police?

"CC's post was exactly that. It was respectful, it was first hand, it offered details about the experience and contained lots of useful information. There is nothing wrong with his opening post or his followup posts - they have been exceedingly respectful".

it surely crossed the line. I'm not sure about legal repercussions, but whenever threats of any kind are involved I'm sure there is basis for investigation.

When we judge or criticize another person, it says nothing about that person;
it merely says something about our own need to be critical.
