Anybody out there smelt fishing? OTW report indicated good numbers but I have had no luck in my limited attempts so far here on the North Shore. Leaving for a vacation Sunday and want to catch and eat some this week before then. Thanks in advance for any reports (feel free to PM me with specifics if you are so inclined! )

One may want to look at some of the history postings here on Smelt Fishing over the years and get yourself a little information and insite to fishing for smelt if you can find them :D

Nah, that is too much work! Nothing better than real-time info, especially given that pathetic year that everyone experienced last year. Besides, sharing is caring and this smelt we are talking about, not bass. Thanks to those who have already PM'd me. Looking forward to some fresh fried smelt! ;)

Silversides work also. I catch them on the sabiki rig all of the time but I don't toss em back. They go nuts for cut silversides.
