StriperReleaser
Allman Brothers are done after this weeks Beacon shows . Anyone wanting to take this trip can and should do so Oct. 25, 27 and 28, as the band concludes not just this final Beacon run but also then calls it quits for good. Hopefully Dicky will make it for one last time . There's been a little controversy on if he was invited or not ! Come on guys one last time please ! Here is a nice retrospect of some of the often overlooked and disliked albums from the band . http://www.bluesbiscuits.com/2014/10/allman-brothers-band-retrospective-cd-reviews/ Check it out there's some hidden gem's in this list of records that deserve a lot more airplay . It's been a great crazy wild ride for the Brothers but i guess it's the End of the line Flotation is Grooovey !!
Mokes
Saw them 3 times and each time was more than great. Love them. Sad to see them hanging it up, but I get it. Wet Head
One of the band members is related by marriage. I'll be there every night Backstage. Not as exciting as it sounds but historic. If you saw them up close you would wonder why they haven't dropped dead already. Wipp'n Post
Little
I got to work with some of them along the way. I did a short run of Gregg and friends shows, and the band and I crossed lots of other paths. But the milestone for me was fifth grade. Never forget it. A guy named Danny Huddleston brought a copy of Beginnings to school and was showing it to me, and at some point he put it on the turntable (went to a hippy ass school, you could do that kind of thing), and off went Every Hungry Woman. And I remeber thinking (after having grown upp listening to whatever stuff came out of the radio), "wow this is different. These guys do something else other than what those guys on the radio do". Thats what it was for me. “My happiness is not the means to any end. It is the end. It is its own goal. It is its own purpose.” Ayn Rand

Finster
And closed it out with Muddy Waters. According to an article I read today at jambase.com, Trouble No More was the first song the band ever played together, and now is also the last song they ever played together.......maybe. Looking at the set list from the show, it looks like they hit all of the biggies. I can't think of anything they missed song wise. Would have been nice if they and Dickey could have buried the hatchet at least for a few hours anyway.
Ditch Jigger
The last time I saw Dickey play in public, he appeared as a guest with the TTB and did 3 of his own songs. He made a fool of himself. Getting Dickey to show up is only half the battle. The hard part is getting him to show up sober. Little
I've been listening to ABB for 2 days and I don't see an end to it.
