Just heard thru the grapevine there going bust? Cms tackle in new bedford no longer carry's them, same with red top tackle an m&d's. All warranty issues have to go thru ryan white out of south carolina. Can someone confirm this or is it just bs? Would make me think twice about buying one from the bst,

Does the other distributor of Century, KM Custom rods honor claims for blanks purchased at Advanced Fishing since these are Century's blanks ?

no clue. But I was about to pull the trigger on in the bst and I called cms in new bedford mass and explained the situation to them, there answer was " we longer carry century blanks or honor there warranty.

I was going to pick up another at M & D's and he no longer would carry them. He said that they were cutting corners on the production of the new models, that there was a real issue with the thread wraps and the new UV Block clear coat and that the company was not honoring the warranties on the new rods. So, he's done with them, Red Top stopped caring them and Big Dave is no longer a rep for them due to their screwing up their good business model. Sad.....

When i had issues Km was awesome from a customer service perspective.

Good to know but should the Century rod owners expect KM to provide the same awesome service when they send in warranty claims for Century rods purchased at Advance Fishing or vice versa?

KM Custom Rods and Advanced Fishing are basically one in the same. Advanced Fishing is a company name between partners Tim Davis and Ryan White (NC) we both have individual custom rod building shops and I would be willing to deal with any warranty issues anyone has first hand if the rod was purchased first hand from us directly or a tackle shop not a second hand purchase from anyone online or used. U can contact me anytime. Also the reason that tackle shops in and around the Canal do not carry us anymore is because of the price bump Century UK gave us and because the rods are being built at another US location do to the demand of orders to bigger dealers
