Sidewinder
I know there has always been seals in Montauk but I have never scene the numbers like their are now .. 8 Fing seals last week all swiming together ... 2 weeks prior not 1 but 2 different seals attack 2 seperate fish ... And this week had a damn seal chase a teen fish up past me and my rock to the beach ..so now the fish and the seal are between me and the shore ? *** . I let the fish run with no tension and he escaped the seal and I got my plug back ... Since when did these seals grow a big giant pair of balls that they are grabbing fish right from your line ... And coming within 5 feet of you ... Been fishing long enough and I never had this happen or even heard of anything like this .. 3 times in a few weeks. Killed my bite ... *** "I KNOW ITS HURTING YOU, BUT IT'S KILLING ME"(AVENGED SEVENFOLD)

A baby was in the rip,at Shinny over Columbus Day weekend. Cute but we all know where this goes. Stripedbass50lbs
Seals are protected. Since they are, their numbers have increased and their Range has been extended. They seem to be all over. Can you imagine if we protected The Bass Populations the same way we protect the seals? sb

I have read smarter guys than me telling us this is not the solution but it sounds a lot better than all this stupid back and forth with ASMFC. wonkman
Like the alligators in Fla. Once endangered, now a PITA. In backyards, pools, eating dogs. A change needs to be made in their protected status like deer and bears.
