turkaholic
I just can't help myself! I will walk an extra mile just to knock um down. Is it just me or what? I hates those piles of rocks. I find when the fishing is slow it's my outlet, just plow a few of those baby's down. Sometimes I will see a big one from the road and I will fish that spot just to plow um down. I don't like to see them ,they sucK , and they are an eye sore to me, so I will be plowing um down. Sorry if they were yours.

DZ
Bad luck. A few years back there were a hundred stacked around Grove one night - eerie sight... I had to tiptoe in my korkers to get around them Glad you're the one knocking them down Steve

Sudsy
There's a beach on Staten Island full of these things. On a dark night it totally gives me the willies Especially the big ones covered in blood I just wanta play everyday despite small nagging injuries -- and go home to a woman who appreciates how full of crap I truly am. ~ Crash Davis Social Distancing since 1962

turkaholic
An old guy once told me to have a chance at a fifty you need to mow um down. They are a warning to cow bass that crafty fisherman are on the prowl.
LunkerChaser
I knock every single one I see over. I had a great night of fishing a few years ago on the Block after I knocked one over and have continued the tradition (superstition) ever since. I like to snipe them with other rocks from far away on slow nights.

MaxKatt
Technically called "cairns," and I agree that disturbing them brings bad karma. I let them be. Occasionally I'll contribute. I've started some on hiking trails where they're sometimes used to signal an intersection that might otherwise be missed. That's where I see them most, and where they're more purposeful than ornamental.
