nipsip
You see Republicans believe that the 47% should shoulder most of the tax relief given to the wealthy so they will create jobs. Do not believe that everyone should have the right to vote. Corporations should be given president over people, and that if you are not white and straight, you should have laws passed against you. They also believe women should not have control over their own bodies and that paying them the same as men for equal work is not a good idea. They also believe that if you are sick, and poor, you should just die. The Democrats want social justice and freedom for all, regardless of race, creed or sexual preference, everyone in the United States to have an equal education and a shot at the American dream, and no one should be held back because of his or her skin color or gender. Demswant to preserve a woman’s right to reproductive choice, and think any couple who wants to get married should be able to. Dems think that clean air and clean water are our birthright, and should be protected to the greatest extent possible.Dems think the poor should have a safety net that actually takes good care of them in times of financial stress, and no one should have to be unhealthy because they don’t have access to insurance, or be forced into bankruptcy because they get sick. zybathegeek
Why should a nation be bled of its lifeblood by those who continually refuse to help themselves. nipsip
Why should a nation be bled of its lifeblood by those who continually refuse to help themselves. You mean like the seniors who are on food stamps, Medicare and Social Security, or the people who make minimum wage and qualify for government benefits or kids who get government benefits, or those people who were laid off through no fault of their own and are collecting unemployment insurance, or are you talking about the state and local governments have have awarded at least $110 billion in taxpayers hard earned money to business, with 3 of every 4 dollars going to fewer than 1,000 big corporations. "About $59 billion is spent on traditional social welfare programs. $92 billion is spent on corporate subsidies. So, the government spent 50% more on corporate welfare than it did on food stamps and housing assistance in 2006."

inthered
Yup, money is life's blood. Talking with someone today who mentioned more than one family known to need four jobs to maintain the family; mom has two and dad has two. In another case: single mom (secretary): $900/mo. medical ins. At my age, just about everything pisses me off!

bunker86
But I think Obama has far exceeded even our worst expectations. And to think. 2 more years. What will this country look like by then? God help us. So you were in a coma during the dark ages of the bush years. How you feeling now? I see by you're post, you're having memory problems? The Obama years are a cake walk. Understand (even with his short comings of being black) the condition we were in. Rest easy. Hillary will mop up, and finish the job of getting us back on track. Might just kill off the gop. A women in charge???????? Good riddens Ha Ha HA HA HA HA HA
