Africaster
Fishing? Touring? Fresh water? Rapids? Salt water? Your strength for loading roof/trailer? Budget? Africaster
Hobie Adventure ticks all of your boxes ...... there are, of course, the fibreglass rockets which are just mind-numbingly quick! Check out neophytes new toy, a thread from a couple of days ago. Any society that charges it's own children for knowledge, is doomed to fail. JasperKayak
from the research I've done I keep coming back to the hobie revolution 16 how is that as far as a fishing vessel? cause in the end that's the main purpose
Africaster
Didn't even know the Revo came in a 16'! I've never heard anyone complain about the Revo (except for KingHong, but like boat fish, he doesn't count ) so a 16' will add more speed to an already very competent platform! Good luck. MVDCGTO
After witnessing how fast the revo 13 is I definitely am interested. Wow that thing moves!!! Island livin
rockeddy
If you're comfortable with your slayer why not the Propel ? I've been paddling the OC Trident Ultra 4.3. When it comes time for me to trade up (hopefully in the Spring) I'm seriously considering the OC Torque, which is basically the same platform but with the electric motor, and $400 +/- LESS than a Propel or the Hobie 16. JasperKayak
That's the problem I'm really not sure how fast and capable these yaks are without a side by side comparison . Seems the only way to tell is to purchase put time in on the water then it's too late. I'm seriously considering a rudder and paddle upgrade and call it a day

Africaster
It looks like they've renamed the Adventure to the Revo 16' and created a 'new' Adventure of 16'7". Good luck. lol! don't mind Africaster... every time someone mentions Hobie, he is still suffering from the image i burned onto his head... short fat asian dude trying to car-top a PA on a FJ Cruiser... i have a revo 13 in my garage... did not have much time on the water with it but so far, i do enjoy it... just different... and just used to the utility of having a storage bin tween the legs. revo is fast... probably my fav between PA and Revo, i'd take revo anytime... but two diff items for different purposes in mind. Revo vs Ultra 4.3 Ultra 4.3 seems more stable for me... only because my ass is more familiar to the 4.3 Revo is faster... and that was with normal fins Revo's rudder helps in maintaining your direction... Ultra 4.3 have the convenience of that large hatch in the middle Ultra 4.3 have a more "comfortable" seating and leg position as it is not raised above your hips like the revo when pedaling. Revo is lighter, although their handles are not well balanced... it is noticably easier to load. I have a Dorado 2 ordered as well... and that is a different... loooong... story... "sigh" cheers!
