speedwell
Two gorgeous weeks of fine weather. Got to rest up after a busy summer getting ready for our daughters wedding Aug 29. Caught up with Freebie, Stewie and Lostncentralma. SKS was housebound so he couldn't show. Checked in at M&D's a couple of times. Shark Lobster showed up and considering the sh*t he has been through looked pretty good, or at least as good as Chuck ever looks. Got to see HFG's fish operation, some cool species in there - it was really interesting. Fishing was spotty, one nice fish off the East end just after low slack - 32" and 10# (actually 9.98# on my digital scale) which tasted very good. Others were schoolies or blues too small to justify killing. Picture of fish (no location in background) and its breakfast attached. Got back last night at 7PM, it is a 9 hr drive - 480 miles plus lunch and gas/bio breaks - so I am catching up this AM after a good nights sleep. All in all another wonderful trip to paradise and great to see my Troll buds. It is a long haul until next June. Time to clean reels and turn wood. speedwell
And you too my friend. I wasn't super talkative that morning because I was still beat ( and Derek gives us all the news anyway). The Boss and I woke up the morning before and realized we had slept in until 10AM (always up well before 7AM to get grandson ready and on the bus) only to discover the clock was slow and it was really 11AM. I guess we needed the rest. It was a fun morning anyway with you and D and my first trip to Leo's. Thanks for the breakfast, Va Va les Habs! Let us see what happens this winter. Best Regards to you all Puck Puck - Ditch Troll #42 and Mouse #320, the Canadians - Eh! At the Ditch for 50yrs
