How is it you have 8/0 hooks to begin with ? I've been fishing and tying flies for Stripers since the late 60's the fair share of them on 1/0 to 3/0 with a few here and there 4/0 & 5/0 and some smaller than 1/0 for say worm flies and chovies. I guess what I'm trying to say is Partridge irons that large aren't all that cheap and I personally wouldn't have them unless I had a special purpose for them.
