Hank89
These boots are pretty slick they've been out for a year or more now just looking for reviews see who has them and put them through the test. Stud patterns I'm ready to gear mine up just interested in some thoughts on these.. Thanks
FishinFEEver
Great boots. Two years of heavy fishing in them, not just surf, but steelhead and year-round freshwater, and they are still solid. The grip at the toe is separating a little, but it's not noticeable yet. Laces and hooks are as good as new. Toughest, most comfortable wading boots I've owned.

Local66
They sent me a pair to replace my flats boots. I didn't seriously think they'd warranty a pair of boots with 800+ days on them, but they did. The ocean tek fits different, I can't wear them without thick socks, and they're loose around the ankle which can be a serious problem where I fish. I bought a pair of their freshwater freestone boots and I've never been happier. "Talent does what it can, genius does what it has to"
FishinFEEver
how many studs in each boot  Zero. You can add screw-in studs after purchase.
Hank89
I know I'm asking how many did you put in each boot. I counted 52 places and ordered 50/per boot so I'm thinking that's plenty
mbr215
Hank, I have been interested in these boots and was planning on putting studs in as well. First, are you just planning on putting a stud in every circle in the Vibram sole? Second, did you go with the studs made by Simms or another brand like Gripstuds? Thanks. I'm considering these for rock hopping as they appear to provide good ankle support. The bottom also looks pretty grippy for areas where there's no vegetation like where I paln to fish but it's nice to know there's ample places for studs. scottyrich
Scotty, Â How's the ankle support on rocks? Â The boots are stiff and still new and not nearly broken in. But these are definatly the nicest boots I have ever owned. Judgeing by the stiffness and how they hold up while being wet on long walks i think the ankle suport and "stiffness" should last a long time. And the sole holds studs very well.
