" A Kentucky lawmaker said Wednesday that she accidentally fired a gun in her Capitol Annex office on the first day of the legislative session, prompting a state police investigation. No one was hurt.

Democratic Rep. Leslie Combs of Pikeville issued a statement saying the shot was fired unintentionally and that state police assigned to the Capitol found no evidence to indicate any portion of the discharged round left her office."

There are lots of people who are good citizens that can easily purchase and carry a handgun who are totally irresponsible when it comes to handling the weapon properly. This includes cops and elected officials. As it becomes easier for people to get a firearm and an LTC + carry firearms where traditionally you could not, like restaurants serving booze, bars, schools, the chances of more accidents happening is inevitable.

Politicians and diapers should be changed often and regularly,  invariably for the same reason.

You cant answer my question? Seems pretty straightforward and easy.

That's one problem with being a plagerist, you cant get the original author to do more than write the piece, no more. Then you are on your own and the result? See post above. You are a sad entity man. There is like nothing positive or human about you. :(

Have not seen one intelligent response to my post yet, and don't expect any.

It's difficult to respond rationally to a woefully irrational premise. But the truth is that firearms accident numbers have been dropping for decades now, while the number of firearms in legal possession has risen dramatically, and that is a stone cold fact. Fortunately, for we seekers of wisdon and truth, the emoting, hand-wringing, whining diatribes of the drooling, rabid hoplophobes, is seen for what it is; just so much childish pablum. CCW is the law of the land, in the vast majority of the country, and that genie ain't going back into the bottle.

Firearms owners, and CCW holders, are no more responsible for a very small, limited number of accidents than legal drivers are responsible for the vastly larger number of car accidents, or DWI's.

But keep on posting those man bites dog incidents. They're like water on a ducks back, when one considers the source. :kook:

The rep is a Democrat, so it figures she would help push the gun control ball down the field.

She couldn't wait for a Republican to screw up, so she had to take matters into her own hands, so to speak.

Man, you Dems will do anything for the cause...No wonder the Republicans are a dieing breed.
