Stand up and be counted...this is an important meeting and there is a real chance that our NY Striped Bass Management Board representatives may vote for options that will delay the rebuilding of the striped bass fishery. Please plan on attending if at all possible (and bring a friend).

Indicate "I am going" if you will be attending.

Date: Tuesday, September 16, 2014

Time: 7:00-10:00 PM

Location: SUNY Stony Brook's Wang Center - Theater

The greatest single thing that can be done to boost the fish population, is to ELIMINATE THE ASMFC.

GOD grant me SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change

COURAGE TO change the things I can

AND

WISDOM to know the difference

I don't personally like the way we elect our officials, nor the fact that some people have hated each other for centuries. I want world peace .Not sure that I can influence certain things enough to change them.

But in the interim, perhaps getting a "one at 32" might just help the stripers. Abolishing The ASMFC may not be possible, although down the line ,who knows?

In the meantime,if we can use the system to slow down the decimation of the fishery,by any IMMEDIATE means---maybe that is the only workable plan for now.

I don't know if it is even possible to reform the ASMFC--- or to get the organization to function intelligently, but right now it appears to be the only game in town.

We have time to work on the bigger picture later. Right now,for me anyway--it's all about the stripers.I keep asking what can we do right now that might ease their pressure?
