TheSpaniard
Title says it. I know it seems simple but I tried using the premade mix and followed the directions on the bag and the results were piss poor. Instead of nice balls I got fried goop. Just got back from OBX this week and I am already missin me some good puppies. I need some secrets and tips on this. Thanks, John Create instead of living off the buying and selling of others....... TheSpaniard
Thanks Derf! When I made them the mix seemed too runny to me but I followed the directions on the bag to a T. Anybody like to put anything else in them? Create instead of living off the buying and selling of others.......
jrhjr
I usually bread fish "southern style" with white corn meal. When done breading, a little diced onion, a little flour and an egg...maybe a little sugar, taste...mix it all up. Add water a bit at a time until it's stiff enough that it won't fall out of a spoon...let it sit. The whole time you're doing this, you're frying your last batch of fish. Mix again...should have tightened up a bit. Use a teaspoon and scoop it out, drop in hot oil by pushing it off the spoon with your finger. You may have to turn them over or they may flip on their own. Also will add yellow corn meal and fresh corn. powerless
