Report as little or as much detail as you would like to provide the reader but please don't post specific street names or areas. A specific spot is too much information! Doing so only adds to the traffic in certain areas and will cause an internet feud.

For example, you can say that you caught fish in Ocean County but saying that you got them at Ocean Beach is a no-no. Feel free to share any thoughts you might have on local conditions and "I got the old skunkaroo" reports" are OK too.

Monmouth County

Ocean County

Atlantic County

Cape May County

"In the back" - Rivers and Bays

North Jersey for the Hudson and other backwaters

Please post smartly. This should be the month we start thinking about the Fall run. Meanwhile step outside the striper box and catch other fish. We all do this for the love of the sport so get out and make memories.Conserve our natural resources by treating them with respect.

Ok read this link every day, dont get to fish jersey every day so dont post much, But fished Belmar area last 2 days, water very clear, no signs of any bait fish close to shore, birds picking on something all day yesterday 200 yards out of my reach, only star gazers on anything I threw yesterday, never knew there were so many. Great white water but no stripers until I hi-lo riged clam, then very active bite but all between 20-28, nothing big but was fun

Forgot this was a new month, I posted this in the July reports:

Fished NoMoCo this morning, 45 mins before sunup. Decided to take the 7' rod with the 12lb test.

First cast, WHAM, there goes the drag. Fights like a thresher shark for 3 minutes then buries itself in the sand: ray.  Can't move it with the 12lb test so I break it off.

Several hits, picked up one keeper fluke on a 4" gulp shrimp on the teaser. Got a bunch of tap tap tap hits, dunno what they were, maybe snappers, but didn't lose any gulp tails.

Nice morning.

Don't know why, but there have been a lot of grumpy fish around this year.

I know, been seeing the reports.

Usually when snappers are tapping my gulp they take off pieces or I lose the whole tail.  Didn't lose any part of my gulp...Maybe spot or kingfish?  Or maybe just real small snappers lol.

I didn't have any small hooks or bait on me to try and see what it was...Saw a decent amount of small baitfish in the surf, birds were picking at them but they seemed peaceful enough.
