Anyone catching anything around Green Harbor/Plymouth area? Went out Sat. morning, caught some live bait. Fished about 6 different areas, high pines/power plant. Absolutely nothing. Tide was not ideal but still, are things that bad you can't catch fish with live bait? Just curious if anyone is doing better.

Haven't been catching ****!!!! I love on green harbor! It's my back yard! I've been seeing some fish in the harbor and off my dock! But they aren't aggressive! Lures worked slowly! That's if I'm lucky to get a bite!

Been getting a lot of follows!

I haven't striper fished a lot in the past 3 weeks!

This year has been ****! Didn't see many big fish or lots of mackerel like a few years ago!

I miss the good ole days! Catch a 100 mackerel and 50 stripers!

Have a decent shot at a 40 plus inch fish! Those days are gone! 35 inch is tops recently!

Lots of fish but small ones!

Thanks for the replies. I was just starting to wonder if I was doing something wrong. May give it another shot this weekend, tides should be better. Last weekend fished the out going tide till dead low..not ideal. Maybe try and get up a bit earlier and catch some first light and see if that helps. Makes you wonder, where all the fish are??

ive caught plenty of fish at dead low! it congragates bait and fish in the deeper spots of the harbor! it funnels bait threw the channel to!

My brother and I have been fishing north of you up in Scituate area and this season is bizarre. We'd have schoolies for a few tides, then skunks, then a slug of 20lb class fish come through, you get all excited, then skunks, then more schoolies, then skunks. I'm hoping the 20lbers are coming next but its a tough year from shore in my neck of the woods.

Down fishing along duxbury in the boat for a few hours Sunday before heading to the bash at browns bank, which was awesome mind you. And got skunked. Saw a few schools of bait. Live lined a few Mack's and not even a bump. Did how ever party it up.
I concur, the fishing sucked! The bash at browns bank was awesome!

Fished on Tuesday in Duxbury with no luck. Fished this am around in my neck of the woods in the Umass area with also no luck. Frustrating is not even the word I would like to use.

Do yourselves a favor and wipe the "should haves" and "what if's" from your vocab.

I'll third that. One of the better years, even with the less-than-stellar weather. When I was making my third trip back to the bank it was almost covered up and I saw a huge school of birds diving in the shallow water. Heart was racing until I saw all of the soggy chips in the water...
