PENN Battle 6000 - Drag Knob Assembly

Took the reel apart for a maintenance session and got a tad carried away. On taking apart the drag knob, I noticed (too late) a spring with what looks like a piece of plastic which creates the clicking sound when you adjust the drag - I managed to find it after 30 mins of crawling around my study ..... BUT ...... there are 2 holes where it looks like the spring(s) should go, am I missing another 1? (All the schematics I've managed to find don't show an exploded view of the knob). Thanks.

Any Penn schematic I have seen shows the knob as one piece not its components so I took mine off and took it apart via the two little screws. There are two holes in the top portion. Only one of them is populated with a little spring with a brass "bullet" head. That little head is what clicks against the ridged ring in the bottom half that contains in its centre a coil spring. So, two holes but only one bullet. If I get my camera back from my daughter later I will post a pic.

Hey Puck, thanks for doing that, hugely appreciated, I can breathe again and put her back into action.

Thanks

Brad
