Halcyon
I've got a reel that didn't have all the parts for the mag assembly in it when I purchased it. I have the parts now but I'm struggling with getting it together. Tricky I'm sure. Can anyone help? Tight Lines, Rich
Ken D
Try the youtube using the search term Abu Ambassadeur 6500 C3CT Mag Elite Assembly. It should be close enough. There are 3 or 4 clips showing, with that term. Same clips come up, when using the sports mag term. Also: Goto alan tani's web site and search topic 7491.msg63847#new If that's a stretch, goto alan tani's site, scroll to ambassaduer tutorials and questions forum, goto page 7, and go down about half way. These should get you pointed good.
Halcyon
Thanx Ken, GREAT LINK: Picture said it all. I just dropped the parts on the frame with it looking up at me. Adjusted control full to one side and dropped the housing on. These reels are built like a fine watch. Can't wait to take it fishing. I'll sure be able to cover some water with it. I'm going to use TG's Yellow in it as I'm not going to be in any casting tournaments. I'll spool it light, probably with some braid and be able to get right down with the big'ens. I'm a little afraid of sand getting in the circular control so I'm going to use it as a boat reel. The other CT mags I feel are better for the beach as the control is not so tight around the reel housing. If sand gets in there it'll be easier to wash out. What a nice reel.
